Microsoft Hardware’s Arc Touch mouse was announced today. The mouse arcs up for up for use and folds flat for storage. I’ve been a huge fan of the original Arc Mouse since winning one at a .NET User Group meeting and can’t wait to get my hands on one of the new models. The new one is sure to up my geek score by at least two or three.
One peculiar thing you’ll notice from the picture below is that there is no mouse wheel. That gray strip detects the movement of your finger across it and can be used for scrolling as well as clicking, or “tapping” in this case.

According to the Microsoft Hardware team, they are available for pre-order on Amazon today but if it’s there, I can’t find it. Buy.com has it, but I think I’ll wait for Amazon. No rush, since it won’t ship until December.
What do you think? Worth the money or are you going to stick with your current mouse?
