Presenting at the St Louis .NET User Group

by brad 15. January 2009 11:32

I'll be presenting 'Ruby on Rails for .NET Developers' at the .NET user group on February 23rd. The .NET user group is always a treat, so please stop by!

Abstract: Ruby on Rails is an increasingly popular framework for building database-backed web applications. This presentation provides an overview of the framework, its short history, the Ruby language, and what makes Ruby on Rails so exciting for developers.   We'll also see how Ruby on Rails stacks up against C# and ASP.NET and discuss the possibilities of Rails in the Enterprise. Finally, we'll build a sample Rails app together to see the Ruby language and Rails framework in action.
